Touching your inner peace and stability

Dear Friends,

Last week we watched the Dharmatalk of Thich Nhat Hanh on the Island of self.
He invites you to discover your inner peace and stability; your inner freedom.

There is in all of us a quiet peaceful place, full of compassion and love. We are often so busy with worrying and impatience, that we forget to go home to ourselves and find the stability within.

The past months I regained my stability by stopping, becoming quiet and focusing on the small things that make me feel at ease, bring a smile, or make me comfortable. Simple things, like music, friends, cup of tea, experiencing art, a good book, the sunshine and the blue sky.

This Monday we will  use the evening to stop and sit together to touch our own 'Island of self'

Doors will be open at 19h30 for tea and settling down.
Meditation will start at 20h

At about 19h15 some help is appreciated for making tea and setting up the room.

Have wonderful weekend!

Island within, Island of self

Dear Friends,

This monday we will watch a 12 minute selection of a Dharma talk by Thich Nhat Hnah.
The topic is "The Island of Self"

All of us have moments or periods that our life is shaken by events around us.
Our practise is to return to our stability and look at the present moment with mindfulness and non-judgement, non discrimination. Observe and stay yourself, don't let the storm take over.

We train our stability to touch our freedom and happyness as often as we can.
We all have this place inside where it is peaceful calm and safe, this is the place no-one can take away  This is yours !
We can practise touching this place inside us and touch our peace and solidity.

Thay speaks in the video about this in a loving beautyfull anectote from his own life experience.

Doors will be open at 19h30 for settling down and tea,
we will start with short introduction at 20h, silent sitting and video.
Followed by walking meditation and Sharing.

We close as usual with informal tea

As of 19h15 some help is needed for making tea and setting up the room.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Enjoy the storm !

Hans
