Monday we will have our regular Mindfulness meditation evening in the Kapel.
Theme of the evening is Observing your thoughts and feelings.
On a daily basis many thoughts and feelings pass our mind.
Often we are not fully aware of our thoughts and emotions.
It happens that a thought or conviction stays with us for a long time and controls our thinking and actions without us recognizing it.
This can be for instance a fear or an aversion for something that is no longer there.
But also this fear or aversion can be a warning signal for something that really is dangerous.
The same hold for a preference or an affection; can we see our real motivation for this preference or affection?
Observing our thoughts and emotions in a neutral way without judgement, fully perceiving and recognizing in a loving and compassionate way helps us to be free.
