We have a common interest: Mindfulness and the teachings of the Mahayana school of Buddhism as brought to us by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, Thay Cuong Lu and the Plumvillage Dharma teachers.
We practice together and share our experiences and feelings. This works best if the group is harmonious and open minded. Consequence is that we will have to learn to know each other and have compatible style and interests. Also it will be good to try to commit and come as often as you can.
You are welcome to taste the atmosphere and it is only natural if it does not match. There are over 80 similar groups in the Netherlands (One other in Eindhoven and one in Tilburg, den Bosch and Turnhout), so you will be able to find a group that fits.
New participants are asked to contact us by mail or phone and are invited on the next Sangha evening to come early to get acquainted with the group.
There is no fixed fee for participating, but preferred contribution is 5 Euro's per evening (or more); If your income does not allow this, it is OK to contribute less, your presence is already a contribution to the group.
In this way we can offer our practice to students and people with low income.
The revenue is used to pay for using the venue, and for buying mats, bell, incense, candle's etc.
Also we pay a small contribution to "Stichting Leven in Aandacht" and other charities when possible.
On privacy:
Our group is an open group of friends, there is no formal organisation or commercial intent.
There is no collection of personal data whatsoever.
Except the email address of the participants that have given their consent, for the sole purpose of inviting and informing them of the activities.
