Dierbare Sangha,
If I ever lose my faith in you

If I ever lose my faith in you

Warme groeten
Hans
Breathe Faith.
Meditation and sharing in "de Schatkamer" this Monday evening.
This Monday we continue to study and practice our full awareness of breathing.
The centuries old Sutra on the Full awareness of breathing is translated by Thich Nhat Hanh and his translation can be found in:
https://plumvillage.org/library/sutras/discourse-on-the-full-awareness-of-breathing
In practice 5 to 8 we take care for our thoughts and emotions
An important fruit of the Dharma is that we learn to stop and return to connectedness. The connectedness with life and the connectedness with our source, our roots. To return to our home.
Observing breath and body, observe how the body is deeply rooted in the earth, in life.
Just sit and breathe , like it is your first time.
Observe with openness, with wonder, experience that you are breathing, that you are sitting, that you are alive.
Have a wonderful weekend full of discovery, connectedness and compassion
Warm greetings
Hans
Meditation and sharing in "de Schatkamer" this Monday evening.
Dear Sangha,
One of my favorite Pop songs is by Sting:
If I ever lose my faith in you
It reminds me immediately to our connectedness.
It defuses immediately opinions, pain and anger.
In his book "Wait" by Cuong Lu he writes on page 48 about faith.
(See the capture above)
Coming home is letting go of separateness, a step of faith, of confidence.
Faith that the Buddha-nature is in you and in the other, you are a manifestation of the Buddha and so is the other.
When we sit and meditate we give that faith space, by trusting yourself and come home to your root. And with that we give space to the faith in the other. Faith in the other is faith in yourself, there is no separation.
The beauty of the song by Sting is, that it is open who the "you" is. I regularly listen with the practice that the "you" can be me, the other, the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sangha.
