Dear Sangha friends, beste Sangha vrienden (Dutch below)
Zijn in de wereld, deel zijn van de wereld.
Being in the world, being part of the world.
How is your relationship with the world. How do you relate to the world.
When you look closely, it is impossible to define a clear border between you and the world.
The tea that I am drinking, the apple that I eat will be me for a while and then will move on on its journey in this world. My body is constantly changing and renewing. cells are constantly dying and being born in my body.
The things I hear and see mold the things I think, say and do.
My presence in this world does not stop at my skin. I am present as a brother, father, friend, son, teacher, pupil and will be present long after my body has disintegrated. Like the presence of our ancestors is still visible.
Our existence is beyond space and time. This world is one body.
In the morning chant of PlumVillage the first line always brings me directly into that experience:
"The dharma body is bringing morning light."link
MorningchantYou open up, at peace with the reality of life. Being fully connected with life, based on the insight of interbeing, boundaries have no meaning. Practicing to let your concepts, your mental formations go.
Monday Jan 21st we will have our evening of mindfulness in 'de schatkamer' Mimosaplein 2 Eindhoven.
With warm regards,
I wish you a beautiful weekend full of emptiness and silence; wonder and gratitude,
Our hearts open to and our thoughts are with Martien Vissers and his family in their struggle with the illness of his body.
Hans
