Gratitude for our roots.

Meditatie en uitwisseling in "de Schatkamer"

Dierbare Sangha,
Het is pasen, Christenen vieren met pasen het hernieuwde leven van Jezus van Nazareth. Hij verscheen na zijn kruisiging in een nieuwe vorm en kon aanwezig zijn bij zijn leerlingen en hen inspireren.
Het Joodse volk viert met pasen de uittocht uit Egypte, waar het volk meer dan 400 jaar geleefd had. Aanvankelijk als vluchteling maar de laatste periode in slavernij. Met het vertrek uit Egypte begon er een nieuw leven, waarin ze weer hun plek in de wereld en de verhouding tot de wereld opnieuw moesten ontdekken.

Ieder moment van ons leven nemen we afscheid en ontvangen we een nieuw moment.
Iedere stap die we gezet hebben heeft ons hier gebracht. Maar ook de hele cosmos heeft en al onze voorouders hebben deze weg voorbereid en mogelijk gemaakt.

We leven dankzij onze voorouders, onze wortels, die ons voeden en dragen. Iedere dag opnieuw ontdekken we hoe onze plaats in deze wereld door onze wortels is voorbereid en mogelijk gemaakt.

Soms lijkt het alsof een afscheid definitief en absoluut is, echter onze wortels zijn blijvend aanwezig en blijven ons voeden en steunen.

Maandagavond 2e paasdag zullen we mediteren en delen over de dankbaarheid aan onze wortels, voor ieder nieuw moment dat ons is gegeven.

This is not a 'me', this is a 'we'. We inter-are.
If we remove the element of parents, ancestors, food, education, air, water, there is no 'us' left.
So, 'we' means the whole cosmos."

Gratitude for our roots.

Meditation and sharing in "de Schatkamer" this Monday evening.

Dear Sangha,
This weekend is Easter weekend, Christians commemorate the renewed life of Jezus of Nazareth. He visited his disciples in a new form after his crucifixion, he could be present and inspire them.
The Jewish people is commemorating the escape from Egypt, where they have lived for over 400 years. First as refugee, later as slaves. With the exit from Egypt a new life began, in which they had to discover their place and relation to the world again.

In every moment we say goodbye and we receive a new moment.
Every step that we made has brought us here. But also the whole cosmos and all our ancestors have prepared this path and made it possible.

We live because of our ancestors, our roots, that have nourished us and support us.

Sometimes it looks like a goodbye is final and absolute, however our roots are always there, they keep nourishing and supporting us.

Monday evening second day of Easter, we will meditate and share about our gratitude to our roots, for every new moment that is given to us.
