Op 31 augustus is er een vredeswandeling in Eindhoven waar onze Sangha een bijdrage aan levert. In onze bijeenkomsten zullen we daar aandacht aan schenken. Meer informatie vind je hier
Dear Friends,
I was moved, during our last Sangha meeting. To me it felt strongly as an encounter of the heart. The space is already there, but by the presence of all those who enter the space, it becomes a place of compassion. The encounter before the meditation begins is a place of awareness. Space to be who you are. To rediscover who you are. Awareness for yourself, for the other. Maybe, ath the end of the evening you leave with a smile or an insight to continue your way.
In the silence that we create together at the start of the meditation I feel a kind of transformation. We keep being who we are, a person, but we also become part of this group. This working place of practicing mindfullness fills with interbeing. We practice together, we share, we walk together. We share the energy of the practice in returning to our breath and to this moment en what is there in our mind and body. We listen to the quest in finding the right words of one of us in sharing. With elements of recognition for the others, so everyone is tocuhed in her or his heart. Search and find refuge in the Sangha.
It is a practice in deep looking at yourself.. In your self-healing . Think of the healing power of your body at a gall; the crust, the return of the skin. The healing power of your consciousness, you are capable of letting go a troubling thought, relax. It feels invigorating when you are together. Thich Nhat Hahn says that it is important to experience stability in yourself. To rediscover. Not in another, not outside you, not in an idea, a theory. In yourself. Practice openness and clarity.
On our cushen our chair, we discover the confusion, the lust and the pain, rejection maybe in our hearts. And below that we discover love, compassion, gratitude and willingness to look. Because we practice looking deeply. To nourish a warm and open heart'. What we are longing for is coming home, to open your seemingly closed heart. To remember who you are. The meeting with others is a place full of compassion. Everybody is struggling with something that longs to be cured. Sometimes you need some encouragement. Look around you, when you join the Sangha. Look around you in your house if your practicing alone.
When I biked home, last Monday, a thought popped up in my heart. It is from an old text. What you are longing for is already there. Open your eyes and look.

On August 31, there will be a peace walk in Eindhoven. Our sangha has a role in the organization. In our sangha meditation, we will focus our practice on peace. More information here
