Dear Friend I know that you are there and that makes me very happy

Dear Friends,
Beste vrienden,

"Dear friend I know that you are there and that makes me very happy"

Joost
Dear friends,
One of the three refuges in Buddhism is the Sangha.
Being together knowing you are connected even when no words are spoken.
Feeling Interbeing...
Source of happiness?
Tomorrow I want to connect the second mindfulness training to the mantra :
"Dear Friend I know that you are there and that makes me very happy"
This mantra is regularly used to express love and connectedness, but also as a start of conflict resolving.
As of 19h15 we will be preparing the Kapel (kanaalstraat 6), meditation starts at 20h and we will close at about 21h30 with tea.
I wish you an inspirational weekend
Joost

Discovering true happiness

Dear Friends, Dierbare vrienden,

Yesterday I was at a wedding celebration and I met an old friend. She told me that she was ill and her energy was sometimes very low. As we held each others hand we smiled at each other in silence. For a moment we touched total peace.

Last week we started to study the second mindfulness training. The full text of the 5 mindfulness trainings can be found via this link:

Around us and in us there is a lot of suffering caused by a false idea about what happiness is. We can ask ourselves the question do I really know what I (or we) need to be happy? The beauty of the mindfulness trainings is that it is written as a real training, and as an aspiration: I am aware and I express my desire to practice.
quote:
 I will practice looking deeply to see that the happiness and suffering of others are not separate from my own happiness and suffering; that true happiness is not possible without understanding and compassion;

Happiness is here. It is here in abundance, once we have learned how and where to look. The seed of happiness is in us , in every one of us, it is there waiting for you to discover (or uncover).

Tomorrow evening monday july 4, we will practice and share as a Sangha
We will set up the room starting at about 19h15 (help is appreciated)
At 19h30 there will be tea and a moment to arrive and make contact.
Meditation will start at 20h :
Guided sitting, silent walking and silent sitting
From about 21h till 21h30 we will have the opportunity to share.
We close the evening with informal tea.

Have a wonderful weekend full of discovery
:-)
Hans
